Inner Demons: Internalized Shame and Religiosity
Description:
This project hopes to offer clinicians insight into the hypothesized role of internalized shame in association with religious coping and psychopathology. Clinicians should more regularly assess whether attempts at religious coping strategies are adaptive or harmful for their clients, providing an opportunity to target internalized shame. Targeted interventions for internalized shame may provide a path toward helping religious clients view their beliefs as a source of strength rather than a source of additional distress.
What are we asking for?
You will be asked to complete an online questionnaire. The questionnaire will include questions about your likelihood to internalize feelings of shame and questions to gauge your religious orientation. The survey will take about 40 minutes.
After completing the survey, you have a chance to enter a raffle to win a $50 amazon gift card. One in every 50 participants will be selected to win.
